Dr Laura Wood joined Courtfield in 2011. Originally from London, she qualified at Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas ’School of Medicine, in 2004. She went on to complete her General Practice training in London, and subsequently gained the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, the Diploma of Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Dr Wood is our Senior Associate – she was the first Associate to join Dr Ladbrooke and Dr Harling in the formation of Courtfield Private Practice and has been very involved in its development. In 2016 she set up its first clinical software.

Dr Laura Wood worked in hospital Obstetrics & Gynaecology before her GP training and brings this experience to the Courtfield Private Practice as one of her special interests, along with paediatrics and mental health. She has a keen interest in menopause.

Outside of her work at Courtfield, Laura is an accredited transformative coach. She combines both her medical and coaching expertise to deliver her signature ‘Healthy Menopause’ programme. Through this she guides women through all aspects of menopause to not only improve their symptoms but to enable them to secure a happy and healthy future.

Laura has her own son at home, so is familiar with the pressures of family life. She plays an active role at her son’s school in fundraising. Married to a barrister, Tom, Laura enjoys cooking, having qualified as a Cordon Bleu chef in the year before joining medical school.
