Book an Appointment

You can book an appointment online or by contacting reception either by phone or email who will be happy to assist you:

We understand the stresses that modern families face and it’s our policy to give you enough time to fully discuss your worries and concerns. We also allow time for a full clinical examination and to plan the future management of your health with you.

Routine appointments are 30 minutes long, with a full health screen requiring 1.5 hours and well woman screening 1 hour. All patients with urgent health concerns will be seen “on the day”. Every effort is made to ensure patients are offered appointment dates and times of their choosing.

New patients registering with the practice will need to show photo ID in the following forms;

  • Children = a passport/ID card
  • Adults = a passport/ID card/driving licence.
OUT OF HOURS

Out of hours emergencies will be dealt with wherever possible by one of the practice doctors or alternatively by one of our colleagues from Concierge Doctor service. They will inform us of any overnight contact the following morning.

Outside of normal surgery hours (evenings and weekends), please call on +44 (0) 207 486 0701 or 0844 247 247 9.

CANCELLATIONS

We aim to provide the best possible care to all of our patients and so appreciate notice of any cancellations.

  • Appointments cancelled on the day will incur a charge of 50% of the consultation fee (excluding scheme members)
  • If you fail to attend your appointment without any notice you will incur a charge of 100% of the consultation fee (including scheme member)
REFERRALS
In the event that a second opinion is required, we have a comprehensive referral system in place. We pride ourselves in having established close links with London’s leading consultants practising in all fields. We are able to draw on these links to ensure you receive treatment as promptly and as efficiently as possible.

We also work in close association with leading complimentary medical practitioners in the fields of dietetics, osteopathy, physiotherapy, chiropractic, aromatherapy, reflexology, homeopathy, psychotherapy, clinical psychology and the Alexander Technique.

HOME VISITS
There are times when you simply can’t get to the surgery, so we offer home visits on request. Please see our price list for fees.

We can only guarantee home visits to the following postcodes: SW1, SW3, SW5, SW6, SW7, SW10, SW11, W6, W8, W11, W12, W14

A practice doctor can often visit patients living outside of these postcodes at the end of the day, or alternatively we can arrange a visit from one of our partner GP visiting services.

TELEPHONE/EMAIL CONSULTATIONS

For those unable to attend the Practice, we are able to offer consultations and advice by telephone or email. For non-membership patients, a fee is normally chargeable for this service. This fee is reduced to 50% for membership patients. Please see “Our Fees” page for further details.

CHAPERONES
The Practice is able to provide chaperones for consultations or procedures should patients wish to have one present. Please speak to a member of reception for more information about requesting a chaperone.
DISABLED ACCESS
The Practice is wheelchair accessible throughout the building, with a lift at the front entrance for wheelchair users. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessibility then please contact our reception staff prior to your consultation.
INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL
Courtfield Private Practice is committed to the control of infection within the building and in relation to the clinical procedures carried out within it.

The practice will undertake to maintain the premises and equipment and will undertake to provide facilities and the financial resources to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to reduce or remove all infection risk.

Wherever possible or practicable the practice will seek to use washable or disposable materials for items such as soft furnishings and consumables, e.g. seating materials, wall coverings including paint, bedding, couch rolls, modesty sheets, bed curtains, floor coverings, towels etc., and ensure that these are laundered, cleaned or changed frequently to minimise risk of infection.
