Paediatrics

A large emphasis is placed on the care of children at the Practice. In addition to routine immunisations carried out by the doctor, babies and children are offered check-ups on a regular basis, at flexible times throughout the week.

Suggested schedule for routine assessment in first five years of life:

	Age
Full physical and developmental check	6 weeks
Regular monthly reviews	6 weeks & 4 months
Physical examination, developmental and hearing test	8 months
Annual developmental and physical assessment	1 year & 4 years
Annual physical assessment	5 years+

Note: The schedule outlined above is recommended as a guideline only. Children will be seen at any time outside these periods with a doctor always available to answer your queries and concerns.

Immunisations

The following immunisation regime is recommended:

DPT (Diptheria, Tetanus & Pertussis) HIB Polio	2 months 3 months & 4 months
Meningitis C	3 & 4 months
Menitorix (HIB & Meningitis C)	12 months
MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)	13 months
Pre-school booster (MMR, Diptheria, Pertussis, Tetanus and Polio)	3 years 4 months

Note: All the above immunisations are included in the family membership scheme.
